About Me

Hello! I am so grateful that you have stopped by.

Whether you choose to work with me as a birth consultant, educator, birth doula, or postpartum support doula, I hope you learn something here, and leave encouraged.  Congratulations on expecting your precious little blessing. Babies are magical! I have had the great privilege of caring for dozens of little ones through the years, and am blessed with five of my own. (They are now young adults.)

I  am often asked about my birth philosophy, or why I do what I do.

I believe birth is a sacred space, and I only want to be exactly where I'm supposed to be. If my presence can enhance the experience for the mama, her little baby, and her partner, then I want to be THERE.

I believe birth is a beautiful, natural physiological experience with the potential to enlarge your heart, touch your soul, and transform your relationship with your partner. It is an honor to be able to help facilitate this.

I am also an educator, with a degree in Education and Psychology.  As a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator, I believe it is important to educate parents-to-be, in order to lay a strong foundation for this life-changing experience.

I feel I can reach the most people, and have the biggest impact on our world,  by working with families at this crucial and special time of their lives.

As a professional DONA Certified Doula in the  DFW area, I offer personalized prenatal, birthing, and postnatal education and care. My goal is to give you and your family the support and knowledge you need to make informed decisions about your pregnancy, labor, birth, and parenting experience. When working with couples, I believe both partners need care  and consideration.  Both the mother and partner are experiencing a myriad of feelings.

I have 11 years of experience working and teaching in a hospital setting and have a special knack for making your hospital birth as comfortable and family-centered as possible. I also love to  attend home and birthing center births. I am happy to serve you in the location of your choice.

When I am not taking care of mamas, babies and families, I enjoy a great cup of coffee, being outside, planting flowers, listening to music, being with my family, and playing with my dogs. I have also just started working at a Donkey Rescue, and I am obsessed. I am currently waiting for a momma donkey to give birth...yes, I may soon be a "Donkey Doula" as well.

I firmly believe that this is not only the beginning of your child's life, but also the beginning of your journey as a parent.

I am passionate about helping others and making the world a better place. What a better way to begin than with babies. Thanks for stopping by.

I look forward to meeting you.
